Application Eligibility and Selection Criteria

Applicants are to note that before they apply for the scholarship, they must have been offered admission to study a course at the University of Westminster. Once a conditional or unconditional offer have been made to an applicant, the applicant will be provided a confirmation email/letter by the admissions office and can then proceed to apply for a scholarship. Most scholarship offers will be given to applicants who have excellent grades higher than the entry requirements of the course.

  • Applicants who have been rejected for a University of Westminster scholarship previously are not eligible to reapply for two calendar years.
  • Applicants are eligible to apply for the scholarship if they do not have an equivalent level qualification.

Supporting documents requirements: In addition to completing the relevant scholarship application form, applicants will be required to provide the following supporting documentation:

  • A copy of the letter/email from the University of Westminster confirming your conditional or unconditional offer of a place on your chosen course.
  • An official copy of your transcript from your most recent/current academic study.
  • A reference letter written specially in support of your scholarship application This letter should be written by a previous tutor, professor, academic or employer (where relevant to your chosen degree course) and cannot be the same reference provided aa part of your admission application.

Applicants are to ensure that the application is received before the deadline date. Due to tight timescales, late applications will not be attended to after the deadline.

The scholarships office will email the applicant with the acknowledgement receipt of the application. All scholarship applications are screened to ensure the basic eligibility criteria for the scholarship selected have been met.
