Call for Application: ICGEB Research Grants, 2020:Applications are invited from researchers for funding opportunities through the Collaborative Research Programme (CRP)- International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) Research Grants, which is a dedicated funding source developed to support projects addressing original scientific problems of particular relevance to the host country or regional interest through the provision of adequate funding. The initiative was established to foster collaborative research in member states as well as with the ICGEB Component laboratories to help train young researchers and to aid the establishment of suitable research facilities. The type of support covers grants for outstanding scientific research projects, salaries for the Principal investigators and infrastructural support.

Grant Eligibility and Selection Criteria: To be eligible for the CRP-ICGEB Research Grants, 2020, applicants are to meet the following criteria:
- Applicants for research grant proposals should hold positions at Universities or Research Institutes in any of the ICGEB member states.
- Applicants can actively collaborate with ICGEB Research Groups, but the collaboration is not mandatory.
- Applicants should give particular attention to projects addressing issues of interest for specific geographic regions and presented by groups collaborating across more than one country.

Principal Investigators should submit their complete applications in electronic format (pdf) to his/her home country representative who is in-charge of endorsing the application at the national level. A copy of the application should also be sent directly to the ICGEB by mail (email@example.com).
