Scholarships for Postgraduate Studies in the Netherlands 2021: There are a number of top scholarships in the Netherlands for international students for the 2021 academic session. Applied Sciences

  • Faculty Scholarship: Offers up to 3 scholarships for excellent international applicants admitted to one of the two-year regular TU Delft’s MSc programs in Applied Physics, Life Science Technology, Nanobiology, Science Education & Communication.

Applicants must have obtained good grades in relevant bachelor’s degree from recognized universities outside the Netherlands.

Deadline: 1st February 2021

Extent of Scholarship: Tuition fee waiver per year for the MSc program

  • QuTech Scholarship: QuTech offers up to 6 full scholarships in Fault-tolerant Quantum Computing, Quantum Internet and Networked Computing, and Topological Quantum Computing for promising excellent international students interested in quantum technology. Courses in Applied Physics, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering are eligible.

Extent of Scholarship: Students can choose a special Scholarship MSc project in the roadmap they choose in their application.

  • Fulbright Scholarship: Excellent applicants from the United States of America who have been admitted to one of the following 2-year Regular TU Delft’s MSc programmes: Applied Physics, Life Science & Technology, Nanobiology or Science Education & Communication.

Deadline: 1st December 2020

Extent of Scholarship: A monthly allowance of €1.300 for 11 months of each academic year.

Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science

  • QuTech Scholarship: QuTech offers up to 6 full scholarships in Fault-tolerant Quantum Computing, Quantum Internet and Networked Computing, and Topological Quantum Computing for promising excellent international students interested in quantum technology. Courses in Applied Physics, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering are eligible.

  • Faculty Scholarship: Microelectronics. Up to four faculty scholarships offered in microelectronics to promising excellent international students admitted to the university MSc program in Electrical Engineering (tracks Microelectronics, Signals & Systems and Wireless Communication and Sensing).

Extent of Scholarship: Full tuition fees per year for a TU Delft MSc programme based on the statutory fee or institutional rate, according to the registered nationality, AND contribution for the living expenses.

Industrial Design Engineering

  • Faculty of IDE Excellence Scholarship: Excellent international applicants (conditionally) admitted to one of the 2-year Regular TU Delft’s MSc programmes, with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 80 percent or higher of the scale maximum in your bachelor’s degree from an internationally renowned university outside the Netherlands.

Deadline:

Extent of Scholarship: €25.000 per year for Non-EU/EFTA students, which includes:

Full tuition fees for a TU Delft MSc programme based on the statutory fee or institutional rate, according to the registered nationality, AND contribution for the living expenses.

Membership to the Scholarship club giving access to personal development, workshops, seminars, etc.

Technology, Policy and Management

  • Faculty Scholarship: Excellent international applicants admitted to one of the 2-year Regular TU Delft’s MSc programmes: Engineering and Policy Analysis (EPA); Management of Technology (MOT); and Complex Systems Engineering and Management (CoSEM). With a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 80 percent or higher of the scale maximum in the bachelor’s degree from an internationally renowned university outside The Netherlands.

Extent of Scholarship: Full tuition fees per year for a TU Delft MSc programme based on the statutory fee or institutional rate, according to the registered nationality, AND the living expenses.

How-to-Apply

ALL DOCUMENTS REQUIRED MUST BE SUBMITTED AT ONCE with the MSc Application

Check if you’re eligible for this scholarship

Complete your MSc application (check the admission requirements)

In addition to all the regular documents for a MSc programme application:

1) No extra application form is needed to be considered for this scholarship.

2) Upload two reference letters (in one PDF document), according to required documents

Two reference letters in either English, French, German or Dutch.

These letters must be:

  • from either a previous professor or assistant professor. If you have work experience, one of these letters may be from your employer.
  • written on the official letterhead /have the official stamp of the university or company.
  • signed by the referee and include your complete name

Is your referee hesitant to provide you with the letter? Then he/she can email a scanned PDF of the letter to contactcentre-esa@tudelft.nl. His/her e-mail must include your complete name and TU Delft student number. You will be given this number upon registering in Studielink.

If you choose this option, you must upload a statement under “reference letter” in osiaan.tudelft.nl informing us of this decision. This statement should include the name and e-mail address of your referee.

3)Upload the English test

Please note that Non-EU/EFTA students must include their English test with their application (if required).
EU/EFTA students can submit this document in a later stage according to the Admission instructions.
