NECO GCE Registration 2026
The NECO SSCE External examination is mainly designed for private candidates, including persons who have previously attempted the Senior School Certificate Examination and wish to make up deficiencies in their results.
The 2026 examination will operate in dual mode, comprising Hybrid Computer-Based Examination (CBE) and Pen-and-Paper Examination (PPE).
Candidates are required to provide a valid National Identification Number (NIN) during registration. Biometric fingerprints will also be captured and used for verification during the examination.
NECO External Registration Fee 2026
The official NECO GCE 2026 registration fee is ₦30,000 per candidate.
The fee includes:

NECO Photocard and Examination Requirements
After registration, candidates should obtain at least one clear copy of their NECO Photocard.
The Referee’s Attestation section of the photocard must also be properly signed and stamped by an authorized referee as specified by NECO.
Candidates should keep their photocard safe because it will be required for admission into the examination centre.
