WASCAL Postgraduate Scholarships for West African Students | DETAILS
WASCAL will be offering full scholarship to 154 students from eleven West African countries to pursue ten (10) Doctoral Research Programmes and two (2) Master’s Research Programmes in Climate Change thematic areas. The two master’s research programmes are Climate Change and Informatics and Climate Change and Marine Sciences. The doctoral research programmes include Climate Change in relation to Economics, Land Use, Agriculture, Biodiversity, Human Habitat, Education, Energy, Disaster Risk Management, Water Resources and West African Climate Systems.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the WASCAL Postgraduate Scholarships for West African Students 2021, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a West African student who look forward to studying Climate Change programmes at the post-graduate level.
- Must come from the eligible countries which are Benin, Burkina Faso, Cabo Verde, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, The Gambia, and Togo.

I am just getting to know of your call for application for scholarship. I have two questions: 1. Can you extend the scholarship to PhD candidates who have their admissions in climate change fields outside of Federal University of Technology, Minna as Nigerians? 2.
