Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for the British Institute in Eastern Africa Grants Programme 2020-21, candidates:
- Must be researchers in an eastern African country who has limited access to other sources of funding to perform research in the eligible subjects.
- Must note that priority will be given to researchers doing research in Epidemics, pandemics and epizootics; Citizens and science; Knowing environments; Technologies of politics; Urban lives; Retelling the past.
- Must demonstrate excellent academic and research track-records.
- Note that researchers may include postgraduate students in eastern Africa or the UK; people who have not followed conventional research careers but whose local knowledge or contacts make them well-fitted to conduct high quality research.
