The King Carl Gustaf Scholarship for Foreign Students, 2020: The King Carl Gustaf Scholarship is pleased to announce the call for application for its scholarship award scheme for the 2020 academic session. The scholarship is aimed at supporting students who live in unsafe and dangerous condition areas of conflict outside Europe to be trained in a postgraduate programme to be taken at Uppsala university, Sweden. The King Carl Gustaf Scholarship for foreign students will cover the tuition cost for students but not living expenses for studies at Uppsala University Master’s degree programmes offered during the current admission round and starting August, 2020.

Scholarship Eligibility and Selection Criteria: To be eligible for the King Carl Gustaf Scholarship for Foreign Students, 2020, applicants are to meet the following criteria:

• Applicants must be young students wishing to study masters degree programme at the Uppsala University.
• Applicants must show why they are particularly vulnerable and therefore in need to belonging to the education environment at Uppsala University as well as having the academic talent required.
• Applicants can only be awarded a King Carl Gustaf scholarship if a programme at Uppsala University is chosen as first priority.
• Applicants must have applied for the Master’s programme before the University Admissions deadline.
• Applicants must meet the entrance requirements for the programme applied for and provide supporting documents must be received before the university’s Admissions deadline.
• Applicants are to note that the programme is to be delivered on campus. The scholarship is not available for distance learning programmes or programmes partially taught at other universities outside Sweden.
