College of Science (CoS) and the ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) is offering Digital Agriculture Scholarship to international students who wish to enroll in a PhD degree research program in agriculture in the University.

Australian National University Digital Agriculture Scholarship | Details

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

Candidates are expected to attain the following eligibility criteria for the Australian National University Digital Agriculture Scholarship;

  • Applicants must be international students.
  • The award is available for masters & PhD program in various courses offered by the University.
  • Students enrolling full time in the Honours program in the semester for which the scholarship is awarded.
  • Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree certificate or equivalent in the relevant field
  • Enrolled or enrolling full-time in a program of study for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the field of Information Science relevant to the Agriculture domain, based in the either the ANU College of Science or the ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science; and
  • Will be undertaking research for CSIRO / ANU projects under a Collaboration Agreement; and
  • Has demonstrated First class honours (H1), or equivalence; and
  • Have signed a Student Agreement with CSIRO, unless otherwise agreed in writing with CSIRO; and
  • Must not be in full-time employment; and
  • Is the recipient of an AGRTP or equivalent HDR base stipend, or is approved to hold this Award as a bridging scholarship.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • A PhD project research proposal that is related to the research area
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm, motivation, flexibility and confidence
  • Candidates must be highly motivated, responsible, and able to work independently in a structured manner, has good interpersonal and communication skill.
  • Applicants must hold an offer for a full-time program at Australian National University, Australia.
  • English Language Requirement: Applicants are required to provide evidence of meeting the ANU’s minimum English language proficiency requirements.

 Scholarship Value and Benefits                                                                                                      

The value of the Australian National University Digital Agriculture Scholarship includes:

  • Scholarship award of $15,000 pa (fortnightly payments).
  • Duration (3 years).
  • Extension (1x 6mth extension with approval from DA) for up to 3 years is available to international students.
