However, there are many medical schools in Nigeria that it can become really difficult to choose a very good one to attend. Notwithstanding, it is very important to choose a medical school carefully. Note that, all accredited medical schools in Nigeria are good, but some are better!

You could find complete list of accredited universities offering medical/clinical courses from the accreditation bodies themselves like the the National Universities Commission (NUC) and Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).

Usually, it is also wise to always check with the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) while doing background findings as well about your school of choice to be sure you are making the right choice.

UTME and Direct Entry Requirements

* A level passes to include physics, chemistry, and biology, or zoology.

* Five (5) SSCE (O level) credit passes in English language, mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology.

*Score above 280 in your JAMB (UTME), also score beyond the school Post-UTME cut of mark or school screening exercise, as the case may be. Worthy of note is that some institutions combine the JAMB and Post-UTME/school screening score, so you could score really low in your JAMB but if you do really well in your Post-UTME/school screening you could have a high chance of getting in.
