The University of York Snowdon Trust Masters Scholarship is now open for applications from interested and exceptional students for 2023/2024 academic year. This has been designed to identify and accelerate exceptional disabled students through higher education, creating the influencers of the future.

The scholarship is open to national and international disabled students, who have the qualities needed to create change. The Snowdon Trust are looking for applicants who can communicate their aspiration to become an exceptional leader, a role model, or a pioneer in their area of expertise.

University of York Snowdon Trust Masters Scholarship | DETAILS

The scholarship will:

  • Financially support highly achieving and ambitious Disabled Students through master’s programmes.
  • Provide the foundation for exceptional Disabled Individuals to lead by example, move into positions of leadership and influence change.
  • Connect those in receipt of the scholarship to a wider network of Disabled Individuals through the Disabled Leaders Network. 

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for University of York Snowdon Trust Masters Scholarship, applicants are expected to meet the following conditions:

  • Exceptional leaders, with the ability to create change within and beyond their academic field.
  • Individuals that have shown excellence within their chosen subjects.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential with a proven drive for success.
  • Ability to create change and drive Disability issues.
  • Proven achievements in academia, employment, or voluntary activities.

Our scholarship is aimed at elevating excellent Disabled Students. To be eligible, you identify as experiencing one or more of the following:

  • A learning difference (e.g. dyslexia, dyspraxia, or AD(H)D)
  • A visual impairment uncorrected by glasses (e.g. blindness or partial sight)
  • A hearing impairment (e.g. D/deafness or partial hearing)
  • A physical impairment or challenges with mobility (e.g. climbing stairs or uneven surfaces), or dexterity (e.g. using a keyboard or laboratory equipment)
  • A social, behavioural or communication impairment (e.g. an autistic spectrum condition or Tourette’s Syndrome)
  • A long-term illness or health condition which may involve pain or cause fatigue, loss of concentration or breathing difficulties – including any effects from taking associated medication. – Two or more impairments or conditions

Once you have registered, the APPLY and DASHBOARD buttons will appear at the top of this screen. Click APPLY to begin your application.

You can exit and login again to edit your application as many times as necessary, until you click the final submit button. When returning to edit an application you have already started, click DASHBOARD, then “view your applications”. This will show the applications you have already started.
