University of Kent Bio-Digital Architecture Scholarship Award 2020

University of Kent Bio-Digital Architecture Scholarship Award 2020: Application is hereby requested from eligible and qualified students to apply for the Bio Digital Architecture Outstanding Student Scholarship Award at the University of Kent School of Architecture and Planning for the 2020/21 academic session. The award consists of a 50% tuition fee waiver for Home/EU/Overseas students.

The innovative MSs Bio Digital Architecture course will teach successful applicants how to think about architecture in new and exciting ways; to rethink traditional modes of design and experiment. Students will be afforded the opportunity to study computational design methods and new modes of simulation and production, which will be complemented with theoretical discourse on contemporary scientific issues. Students of the course will be part of a thriving postgraduate community at the Kent School of Architecture and Planning, as well as be part of the school’s new Digital Architecture Research Centre (DARC).

Scholarship Eligibility and Selection Criteria: To be considered for the University of Kent Bio-Digital Architecture Scholarship Award 2020, applicants are to meet the following criteria:

• Applicants must have a minimum of second-class UK degree, or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard in architecture or related discipline in the built environment or associated disciplines to the subject of Bio Digital Architecture.
• Applicants must possess some basic computing experience.
• Applicants with an architecture/design background are expected to present a portfolio of work.
• Applicants whose first language is not English need to provide a certificate to show they have achieved IELTS 7 (minimum 6.5 in reading and writing).
