Japanese Government MEXT Scholarship YLP 2022-23: The fully-funded Young Leaders’ Program (YLP) – one of the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Programs is now open for applications. Interested and qualified candidates across the globe are invited to apply.

The Young Leaders’ Program (YLP) aims to contribute to cultivate future national leaders in Asian and other countries, to contribute to establish friendly relationship among various countries and to improve policy planning activities by forming a network among national leaders through deepening their understanding of Japan.

Eligibility and conditions for award in the Young Leaders’ Program (YLP) is dependent on the institution, school and course applying for, stated as follows;

SCHOOL OF GOVERNMENT COURSE

Eligible Countries and Participants Participants are selected from the countries listed below. They should be young public administrators and government officials who are expected to play active roles in the future as national leaders in their home countries.

Eligible Countries: P. R. China, Rep. of Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, Viet Nam, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Australia, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey (29 Countries)

BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION COURSE

Eligible Countries and Participants are selected from the countries listed below. They should be entrepreneurs, business managers, public officials and so on, who are expected to play active roles as future national leaders in their respective countries.

Eligible Countries: Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Philippines, P. R. China, Rep. of Korea, Rep. of Turkey, Rumania, Singapore, Thailand, Viet Nam (18 countries).

LAW COURSE

Eligible Countries and Participants are selected from the countries listed below. They should be legal professionals, who are expected to play an active role as future national leaders in their respective countries.

Eligible Countries: P. R. China, Rep. of Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Viet Nam, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, Mongolia, Singapore, India, Rep. of South Africa, Turkey and Bangladesh(16 Countries)
