Civil society leaders who are working to improve their communities by tackling key issues related to environment, conflict resolution and gender, can now apply for the IREX Community Solutions Program 2025 which is fully funded to the U.S.A.
With a personalized leadership coaching and training through a graduate level leadership curriculum, fellows develop the leadership potentials to implement projects in their home communities. The International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX) program offers financial support to assist successful candidates to address key challenges facing their communities.

Eligibility Criteria | IREX Community Solutions Program 2025
The candidates for IREX Community Solutions Program 2025 must meet the following requirements:
- Between the ages of 26 and 39 as of November 13, 2024
- Citizen of an eligible country
- Living and working in your home country. Individuals with refugee status working on behalf of their home community may be given special consideration.
- Have at least two years of experience working on community development, either as a full-time or part-time employee or volunteer
- Not currently participating in an academic, training, or research program in the U.S.
- Have high level of proficiency in spoken and written English
- Be available to travel to the U.S. for four months from August to December 2025
- Not a citizen or permanent resident of the U.S. and have not applied for U.S. permanent residency within the past three years
- Eligible to receive a U.S. J-1 visa
- Committed to returning to your home country for a minimum of two years after completing the program and
- Not currently an IREX employee or consultant, or their immediate family member

The IREX Community Solutions Program in U.S.A. covers the cost of most expenses associated with:
- J-1 visa support
- Round-trip travel from participants’ home city to the U.S.
- Monthly allowance to cover housing, meals, and other living expenses while in the U.S.
- Accident and sickness health coverage
- Accessibility accommodations, such as ADA accessible rooms for in-person training, software such as JAWS, and community assistance and community training
