Generation Google Scholarship 2023 | Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for the Generation Google Scholarship 2023 are stated as follows;
Eligibility for Women in Computer Science:
To be eligible to apply for the Generation Google Scholarship 2023 for Women in Computer Science;
- Be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at a university for the 2022-2023 academic year
- Intend to be enrolled in or accepted as a full-time student in a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD program at an accredited university in Europe, Middle East or Africa for the 2023-2023 academic year
- Be studying computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related technical field
- Demonstrate a strong academic record
- Exemplify leadership and demonstrate a passion for improving representation of underrepresented groups in computer science and technology.
Eligibility for Women in Gaming:
To be eligible to apply for the Generation Google Scholarship 2022 for Women in Gaming; applicants must;
- Be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at a university for the 2022-2023 academic year
- Intend to be enrolled in or accepted as a full-time student in a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD program at an accredited university in Europe, Middle East or Africa for the 2023-2024 academic year
- Be studying video game programing, game engineering, game design and development, or a closely related field in gaming
- Demonstrate a strong academic record
- Exemplify leadership and demonstrate passion for increasing the involvement of women in gaming.

Eligibility for Women in Computer Science in Ireland:
To be eligible to apply for the Generation Google Scholarship 2023 for Women in Computer Science in Ireland, applicants must;
- Be currently enrolled as a first or second year undergraduate student at a university in Ireland for the 2022-2023 academic year
- Intend to continue pursuing their Bachelors degree at a university in Ireland for at least the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 academic years
- Be studying computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related technical field
- Demonstrate a strong academic record
- Exemplify leadership and demonstrate a passion for improving representation of underrepresented groups in computer science and technology
Scholarship Benefits
scholarship awardees in computer science and gaming will each receive a 7,000 EUR award (or local equivalent) for the 2023-2024 academic year. Google Generation scholars in Ireland will each receive 5,000 EUR for two years of their undergraduate studies.
