Elisabeth & Amelie Fund Internship: Applications are invited from eligible students from developing countries for the Elisabeth & Amelie Fund Grants for studies in water management for the 2021/22 academic session.
The Fund supports sustainable water management in developing countries, among others by financing on-the-spot internships for students from developing countries who are undertaking studies in Belgium.

Elisabeth & Amelie Fund Internship | DETAILS
The Fund Grant takes into consideration an integrated approach to water management that includes technical and/or sociological aspects. It will take place in a developing country and will be tied to a master’s thesis or an equivalent study program under the responsibility of the Belgian academic institution where the student is studying. The grant will cover the expenses inherent to the internship, up to a maximum of € 5,000.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Elisabeth & Amelie Fund Internship 2021, applicants are to meet the following conditions:
- Be students from developing countries who are pursuing a master’s level degree (master’s, specialization master’s or a second bachelor’s degree) that is linked to water management.
- Be committed to ensure that the internship brings real added value to the scientific approach that supports the end of year thesis.
- Demonstrate ability to complete the internship under the required conditions.
