British Council ElTons Innovation Awards | ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To be eligible for the British Council ElTons Innovation Awards 2021/2022:
- Entries submitted to the ELTons 2021 must have been completed within the last two years before ELTons 2021 application closing date.
- Applications can only be submitted to one award category. However, applicants can submit multiple, different applications to the awards and into the different award categories (e.g. including from overseas offices).
- Entries can only be submitted to the awards once; they cannot be re-submitted in subsequent years.
Application Procedures
How-to-Apply: Interested applicants for the British Council ElTons Innovation Awards in English Language are to complete and upload an application form (MS Word or PDF format) via the ElTons Online Submission portal.
The ELTons’ application form collects details of the application and invites applicants to explain their product or service, how it is innovative and how it fits the criteria for the award. To complete their submission, applicants are also invited to provide materials and access to digital media (if applicable) in support of their application. This needs to be submitted alongside the application form, via the ELTons’ submission portal.

Step one: To enter your innovation:
- Complete the ELTons 2021 application form (Microsoft Word file).
- Upload your application via the ELTons online submission portal. – Note: Application forms can be submitted either as a Microsoft Word or PDF file. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
Step two
To complete your application submission via the ELTons online submission portal, in addition to your application form, you must submit one, digital copy of your entry (e.g. digital access to your course, book, app, platform, project materials, etc.).
