Becas Guadalupe Scholarships for African Women, 2020: The 2020 call for application for the Becas Guadalupe Scholarships for African Women is ongoing and is open to all African women living and carrying out research in sub-Saharan Africa. The scholarship is to promote and give optimal visibility to female African scientists so that they can actively collaborate in the development of their countries.

The scholarship will award 100 mobility grants for African women researchers over a period of ten years. The scholarships will cover travelling expenses to and from country of residence, accommodation, daily allowances and medical insurance.



 

Scholarship Sponsor(s): Harambee ONGD

Scholarship to be taken at: Italy, Spain and Africa

Scholarship level: Postgraduate

Scholarship Worth: Fully Funded tuition fees, €1,200 per month.

Subject Eligibility: Healthcare sciences, Earth Sciences and Life Sciences

Country/Candidate Eligibility: The scholarship is for Female African students

Scholarship Eligibility and Selection Criteria: To be considered for the Becas Guadalupe Scholarships for African Women, 2020, applicants are to meet the following criteria:

  • Applicants for the scholarship must be Female African researchers living and conducting researches in Africa.
  • Applicants must certify their link with a research group in their own country.
  • Applicants for the doctoral scholarship must certify their registration in a doctoral programme of their own university.
  • Applicants are to note that in the event of applying for a stay of specialization, master or postgraduate studies and not being enrolled in a doctoral programme, they must accredit the degree of studies required by the option required.
  • Applicants must be willing to abide by the guidelines governing the award of the Becas Guadalupe scholarship.
  • Applicants are to note that the scholarship should be accomplished in a research group of a university different from their own for a period comprising between 1 and 6 months.

The following supporting documents must be sent together with the application form: Curriculum vitae, academic transcripts, recommendation letter of the main researcher in the African research group, acceptance letter of the host group or centre, brief memory of the Research project.
