Macquarie University PhD Research Scholarship (Fully funded): Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified and outstanding international postgraduate students for PhD Research Scholarship. The scholarship is open for PhD students who wish to conduct a research program at Macquarie University in Sydney Australia for 2020/2021 academic session.
Foundation science is needed to understand the geomorphic and vegetative processes by which river recovery occurs, its impact on flood flow hydrology for natural flood management, trial new on-ground rehabilitation and vegetation management techniques (including the use of hazard reduction burns). It will investigate where corridors of recovery are in NSW, where to prioritize rehabilitation and the cost: benefit of working with recovery in river management practice.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria: Candidates are expected to posses the following eligibility criteria for the Macquarie University PhD Research Scholarship (Fully funded):
- Candidates must be domestic or international students
- Students admitted into PhD degree program.
- The award is available for PhD degree in Hydrology, Geomorphology, Physical Geography, Earth Science, Environmental Science courses offered at the University.
- Students enrolling full time in the Honours program in the semester for which the scholarship is awarded.
- Applicants must have a masters degree certificate or equivalent.
- Candidates must be highly motivated, responsible, and able to work independently in a structured manner has good interpersonal and communication skill.
- Applicants must hold an offer for a full-time program at Macquarie University, Sydney Australia.
