The University of Glasgow is offering about 15 scholarships for Africans to study in the United Kingdom. Applications are invited from suitably qualified African students who wish to undertake masters level study in the UK for the University of Glasgow African Excellence Award 2025.
The Scholarship aims to support high achieving students from across Africa in their journey to become Future World Changers. The University is offering 15 scholarships for international students from Africa, starting a 1 year postgraduate taught Masters programme.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the University of Glasgow African Excellence Award 2025, applicants must:

- Demonstrate academic excellence and achieve grades equivalent to a UK 1st Class Honours;
- Hold an offer of a place for a postgraduate taught one year Masters programme for September 2025 intake (offer is not needed to apply but applicants will require an offer to be considered for interview, and should take programme application timelines into consideration as detailed on programme webpages);
- Have International fee status;
- Be domiciled in Africa and hold a passport from one of the eligible countries;
- Be able to demonstrate a clear career and/or development plan that will be supported by Masters level study (via application form);
- Be able to provide evidence of meeting the UKVI maintenance/living costs by 30th June 2025 (only required if offered scholarship following successful interview).
