Eligibility Criteria | University of Edinburgh Mastercard Scholarship 2025
To be considered for the University of Edinburgh Mastercard Foundation Scholarships for Africans, applicants must:
- Hold citizenship or refugee status in Sub-Saharan African countries.
- Have completed an undergraduate degree by September 2024.
- Have not previously completed a postgraduate degree and should not be enrolled (or apply to enrol) at a separate university whilst on the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program scholarship.
- Have faced barriers to education (financial, social, personal, health-related, etc.).
- Be 35 years or under the year the programme commences.
- Demonstrate a track record of leadership and service within their community.
- Demonstrate leadership skills and a commitment to making an impact on the climate crisis.
- Female scholars, scholars from refugee and displaced backgrounds, and scholars with disabilities are strongly encouraged to key in.
