The international and refugee scholarships are renewable for the duration of the course, if satisfactory progress is maintained, for 1 year at honours level, 2 at master’s level and 3 at doctoral level. These scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis.

UCT International and Refugee Scholarships | Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the University of Cape Town International and Refugee Scholarships 2023, interested applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must be an international or refugee student applying for a full-time programme at University of Cape Town, South Africa.
- Applicants must demonstrate excellent academic abilities.
- Applicants must meet the admission requirements for an eligible course at the University for the 2023 academic session.
Application Procedures
How-to-Apply: Interested applicants for the UCT International and refugee Scholarships 2023 are to first apply for full-time admission through the UCT admissions office or the faculty office. Applicants can then proceed to complete an online application form by the application deadline.
