UCL Global Undergraduate Scholarships 2026 | Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this Scholarship, the candidates can be from any country outside the UK but must fulfill all of the following criteria:
- be eligible to pay the overseas tuition fee rate;
- come from a low income background*;
- AND have submitted an admission application for a full-time Undergraduate degree at UCL in 2026/27.
* For details on how UCL defines household income, please refer to this essential information page. While UCL generally considers “low income” as £42,875 or less, this is intended as a guide. Your scholarship application will still be considered if your household income exceeds this amount.
Scholarship Benefits
Up to 33 scholarships will be offered in 2026/27, including:
- 10 scholarships covering full tuition fees, a maintenance allowance and a fixed allowance for additional costs (e.g. Immigration Health Surcharge and visa fees). The exact amounts for the maintenance and fixed allowances will be confirmed at a later date.
- 20 scholarships covering full tuition fees only.
- 3 scholarships covering full tuition fees specifically for students from India.

Application Procedures
How-to-Apply: Interested applicants for the UCL Global Undergraduate Scholarships 2026/2027 are, first, to submit application for admission to UCL in order to apply for the scholarship. Instructions for accessing the online scholarship application form are as follows:
- Login to Portico with your normal details.
- Click on the ‘View’ button for the ‘Active Application’ that you wish to apply for funding for.
- In the application screen, click on the ‘Funding’ in the menu at the top of the page.
- You are now on the funding page. To find out which funds you are eligible to apply for click ‘Check and apply‘ under ‘Funds Available’.
- Click on the scholarship name of the scheme that you wish to apply for.
