This scholarship offers approximately €13,000 per annum for successful awardees.

To be considered for this scholarship students would either be a citizen of Luxembourg or relatives of a citizen and resident in Luxembourg, non-EU citizens with a high school diploma from Luxembourg, EU/EEA citizens, or non-EU citizens with a residence status of more than 5 years.

#2 University of Luxembourg Scholarships

The University of Luxembourg is known for welcoming students of all nationalities and offers several scholarships to support outstanding students in achieving their academic ambitions. These scholarships are provided to both domestic and international students across several fields of study.

There are several faculty specific scholarships in the University and External Scholarships available for students. Such external scholarships include: State support-MengStudien, Single Parent Grant, BAfoG, DAAD, Fondation Felix Chome, aide-sociale.fr and many others.

#3 LSB Scholarships

This scholarship is sponsored by the Luxembourg School of Business to support domestic and international students to meet their financial obligation while studying in Luxembourg. Students applying for MBA programs at the university are considered for this scholarship as a part of their application procedure.

This scholarship covers up to 75% of the student’s tuition and is mostly awarded to students demonstrating academic excellence. Other forms of this scholarship offer between 40% to 50% tuition waiver to excellent students based on merit.

#4 Pelican Grant

This grant provides funding to students in health and molecular biomedicine aimed at fostering high quality training to Ph.D. candidates. The grant can be used to finance research stays in external laboratories and travel support (e.g. for courses, conferences, etc.). The aim of the grant is to increase the quality of research and advance the grantee’s research project.

#5 Industrial Fellowship Programme

The Industrial Fellowships programme’s aim is to foster the cooperation between Luxembourg based companies active in R&D and public research institutions in Luxembourg and/or abroad. The programme awards PhD and Postdoc grants to researchers who carry out their PhD and/or postdoc training in collaboration with a company in Luxembourg. The programme is open to all scientific domains, and to all researchers, regardless of their nationality.

#6 Max Planck Luxembourg Ph.D. Scholarships

The scholarship is paid in monthly instalments of 1.500 €. The selected applicants will be offered a workstation in the Max Planck Institute’s reading room. They will have the opportunity to participate in the regular scientific events hosted at the Institute and will enjoy access to the Institute’s library.
