Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is welcoming applications from eligible PhD candidates for research in Learning Through Life Transitions (PhD Scholarship). These scholarships are available for both domestic and international students.
This PhD project will explore what promotes and/or hinders learning as young people transition through stages of education and/or employment. You will receive a scholarship, tax exempt and indexed annually of $28,597 per annum for a period of three years, with a possible 6 month extension, subject to satisfactory progress.

QUT Learning Through Life Transitions (PhD Scholarship) | DETAILS
The candidate will be supervised by Professor Lori Lockyer and have opportunity to engage in a dynamic environment with members of the Faculty of Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice’s research centres and groups.
If you are an international student, you will also receive either:
- An Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) fees offset (International)
- A QUT research degree (HDR) tuition fee scholarship.
As the scholarship recipient, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of leading researchers, to undertake your own innovative research in and across the field educational studies.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for this scholarship, you must meet the entry requirements for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at QUT, including any English language requirements for international students.
You must also have a background in:
- Educational technology
- Educational psychology
- Learning sciences, and/or,
- Curriculum
- Pedagogy and assessment, with a focus on student learning.
