Obama Foundation Leaders Program 2025 | DETAILS
The program is a six-month, non-residential, virtual leadership journey for emerging leaders from across the globe focused on exploring values-based leadership skills and building deep relationships with fellow cohort members. The virtual Leaders program seeks to identify exceptional leaders in public, civil society, and the private sector who have a clear issue-focus and who can illustrate the impact of their work. The goal is to build a network of values-based leaders, who create positive, innovative change in their communities, and around the world.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Obama Foundation Leaders Program applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must be a citizen of a country in the region they are applying for.
- Applicants must have lived in a country in their region or territory for at least the last 5 years, regardless of citizenship or permanent residence status.
- You work must be geographically focused on creating positive change for local communities in their region. Demonstrate a strong commitment to continue to focus their work in their region.
- Applicants must be professionally proficient in English and should be between 24 and 45 years of age on September 1, 2025.
- Demonstrate at least three (3) years of relevant experience in their issue area.
- Be willing to abide by the guidelines governing the conducts of fellows.
- Applicants must refrain from participating in an electoral campaign as a candidate for political office from the time you are accepted into the program through May 1, 2026.
