All candidates applying for the North Island College English Proficiency International Awards 2021 for appropriate full-time course are eligible for this scholarship.
Eligibility and Selection Criteria
Candidates are expected to meet the following eligibility criteria for the North Island College English Proficiency International Awards 2021,
- Applicants must be international students
- Students admitted into undergraduate degree program.
- The award is available for undergraduate students in English course offered at the University.
- Students enrolling full time in the Honours program in the semester for which the scholarship is awarded.
- Students with the overall IELTS 6.5/TOEFL iBT 80/ CAEL 60 – $500
- Students with the overall IELTS 7.0/TOEFL iBT 94/CAEL 67 – $1,000
- Students with the overall IELTS 7.5/TOEFL iBT 102/CAEL 74 or above – $1,500
- Students with the overall Duolingo English Test 120 or higher – $1,000
- Exceptional personal success skills (e.g., emotional maturity, motivation, perseverance, etc.)
- A high school transcript and/or GSE results (if your transcript is not in English, also require a certified translation).
- Applicants must have a High school certificate or equivalent.
- Candidates must be highly motivated, responsible, and able to work independently in a structured manner and as good interpersonal and communication skill.
- Applicants must hold an offer for a full-time program at North Island College, Canada.

Application Procedures
How-to-Apply: This one-time scholarship is applied to the student’s tuition and credited to the student account. Students in receipt of this award will be notified upon enrollment. The award is automatically applied once the full-time student status is confirmed after add/drop date of the first semester. This award amount does not have cash value and cannot be refunded to students.
