Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible for the Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

• Be an international student (i.e., a non-Canadian who requires a study permit).
• Be in the final year of senior secondary school or have graduated recently within the acceptable timeframe set by the university.
• Intend to begin studies at the University of Toronto in the designated entry session for the scholarship.

Please note that students who are already enrolled in post-secondary studies, or who have previously begun studies at another post-secondary institution, are not eligible for consideration.

How to Apply

To apply for the Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship, applicants must complete the following steps:

• Receive a nomination from your school: High schools that have not previously participated must apply to join the programme before submitting nominations. Schools that have participated in past cycles will receive access to the nomination process accordingly.
• Apply for admission to the University of Toronto: Applicants must submit an application to an undergraduate programme at the university. You will be considered for the scholarship based on your first-choice programme at the time scholarship decisions are made. Although you may apply to multiple programmes and receive more than one admission offer, the scholarship — if awarded — will be tied to your first-choice programme.
• Complete the online scholarship application: After receiving a school nomination and submitting your university application, you will be provided with a private link to complete the Pearson Scholarship application form.
