University of Nottingham (UK) through the School of Geography invites applications from suitably qualified students for a three-year PhD studentship beginning in autumn 2022. Applicants must hold an offer to start a PhD research degree program in the School of Geography.
The Fully-funded PhD studentship in the School of Geography will cover fees at Home/EU rate (£4,625 for 2022/23) and provide a full-time yearly stipend comparable to RCUK rates (currently £15,609).

The studentship will fund PhD research in any field of geography supported by our four research themes: Geosciences; Environment and Society; Economic Worlds; and Cultural and Historical Geography.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for University of Nottingham Fully-funded PhD studentship, applicants are expected to meet the following conditions:
- Applicants must be international students
- Applicants must hold an offer to start a PhD research degree program in the School of Geography between 1 October 2023 and 1 February 2024.
- Applicants must have a Master’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field.
- Applicants must be ready to enrol in research program at the University.
