Applications for the Finnish Regional Teachers Initiative for Africa are being invited. The Finnish National Agency for Education (EDUFI) is calling for research proposals from public or private non-profit organizations in Europe/Africa operating within a consortium of European and African organizations. This Regional Teachers Initiative for Africa (RTIA) is financed by the European Commission.
This Regional Teachers Initiative for Africa (RTIA), being an initiative of the European Commission is part of the EU’s Global Gateway investments. The Finnish Regional Teachers Initiative for Africa 2025: Call for Proposals places teachers at the heart of the Global Gateway strategy’s education investment priorities. RTIA 2025 aims to generate deeper understanding for policy and practice relevant recommendations on how teacher training and teacher wellbeing at work can be made more effective in Sub-Saharan Africa, and ultimately to reduce teacher shortage and attrition in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Eligibility Criteria
In this Finnish Regional Teachers Initiative for Africa 2025: Call for Proposals,
- Eligible organizations are public or private non-profit organizations (universities, research institutes, research departments, I/NGOs etc.) that are established in Europe or Africa and act in a consortium.
- The minimum consortium size is 1 European and 2 African partners and the maximum size for the whole consortium is 7 partners (one lead and six partners).
