The MO Ibrahim Leadership Fellowship 2025 is now open. The program invites emerging African leaders from across the continent to apply to join the 2025 cohort of MIF Fellows and make the most of this opportunity. This learning and growth opportunity includes a stipend of $100,000.
The Ibrahim Leadership Fellowships are a 12-month programme designed to support the professional development of future African leaders. Fellows will have opportunity to work with the African Development Bank (AfDB), the International Trade Centre (ITC) and the United Economic Commission for Africa (ECA).

Eligibility Criteria | MO Ibrahim Leadership Fellowship 2025
To be considered eligible for the MO Ibrahim Leadership Fellowship for Africans, applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Be a national of an African country
- Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience
- Have outstanding academic credentials, at least a Master’s degree
- Be under the age of 40, or 45 (for women with children)
- Not be an active, non-active, retired staff member of the bank
- Have demonstrable leadership communication and consultative skills
- Possess excellent written and oral presentation skills
