Fully-Funded School of Divinity PhD Research Scholarship for International Students: Applications are open to all candidates who are offered a place to study on an onsite campus postgraduate research programme. The University of Edinburg through the School of Divinity PhD Research Scholarship hereby invites applications from excellent students for its Doctoral Scholarships Award for the 2020/2021 academic session. The PhD scholarship is designed to attract the best candidate to study at the University of Edinburgh and the award is on the basis of academic excellence. Applicants are advised not to wait for admission to be offered to them before applying for the scholarship although an offer of admission is necessary to be awarded a PhD Research Scholarship.

Scholarship Eligibility and Selection Criteria: To be eligible for the Fully-Funded School of Divinity PhD Research Scholarship for International Students, applicants are to meet the following criteria:

  • Applicants must be UK/EU or international students are the time of applying for the scholarship.
  • Applicants must possess or hold a UK 2:1 or first class honours degree or its overseas equivalent with atleast a 65% mark in relevant subjects.
  • Applicants must possess a relevant masters degree with a high level of attainment at least 67% in both coursework and dissertation or other international equivalents.
  • Applicants must have received academic training in the area of his/her research project.
  • Current Doctoral students are not eligible to apply for the School Doctoral scholarships.
  • Applicants must be willing to abide by the rules and regulations governing the conducts at the University of Edinburgh.
