The University of Auckland International Student Excellence Scholarship was established with the main purpose of attracting new international students of high calibre to enrol in undergraduate or postgraduate taught study at the University. Scholarship Eligibility and Selection Criteria: To be considered for the University of Auckland International Students Excellence Scholarship 2021, applicants are to meet the following criteria:
- The scholarship is tenable by international students who have been offered an unconditional admission or English Language Academy (ELA) students who have received a conditional offer of study to undertake a postgraduate diploma or masters (taught) of 120 points or more, or an undergraduate degree (applying with overseas secondary or post-secondary qualifications) at the University of Auckland are eligible for consideration for the scholarship.
- Applicants are to note that the basis of selection will be on academic merit, the quality of the letter of application and endorsement by the applicant’s referee. The country of origin of the applicant may be considered by the selection committee to align with the University’s strategic aims.
- Applicants must demonstrate strong leadership abilities and must be able to interact with people from diverse culture, race and religion.

Applicants are to apply for admission first into an undergraduate or postgraduate study programme at the University of Auckland before the commencement of the scholarship application.
