University of Alberta Global Masters Recruitment Scholarship: The University of Alberta has begun application for its Masters Recruitment Scholarship 2020 through the admitting department. The move is to be able to capture superior students at the master’s level with the potential to becoming excellent doctoral research students.

The scholarship is valued at about $17000 as stipend and fee payment with other additional benefits. Students from across the globe are eligible and welcomed to apply for the recruitment scholarship.

Scholarship Eligibility and Selection Criteria: The University of Alberta Global Masters Recruitment Scholarship is in two categories. To be eligible for any of the categories you must meet the set out conditions:

The UAlberta Course-Based Masters Recruitment Scholarship is open to;

• Both domestic and international students
  • Students being newly admitted to the University of Alberta in the Fall  2019 or Winter 2020 Term.
  • Students who will be registered full-time in a course-based master’s degree program with a clearly defined research component
  • Applicants with Admission GPA of 3.7 and higher
  • Students who have not been registered in the master’s program they are recruited into

The UAlberta Thesis-Based Masters Recruitment Scholarship is open to:

• Both domestic and international students
  • Newly admitted students into a thesis-based Master’s program in the Spring 2019, Summer 2019, Fall 2019, or Winter 2020 Term
  • Students who will be registered full-time in a thesis-based Master’s degree program
  • Applicants with Admission GPA of 3.7 and higher
  • Students who have not been registered in the Master’s program they are recruited into

Scholarship Value and Benefits:

Successful applicants for the Course-Based Masters Recruitment Scholarship will be award scholarship valued at $17,500 plus payment of tuition and fees up to the maximum cost for registration in the equivalent of 9 normal credit weights. While the value for thesis-based Masters Recruitment Scholarship will be valued at $17,500 for 12 months, plus full-time program and non-instructional fees, and any applicable International Graduate Differential Fee. This scholarship is not renewable.

Application Procedures University of Alberta Global Masters Recruitment Scholarship 2020 – How-to-Apply:

The recruitment scholarship is strictly based on admission processing and application form does not exist for students to fill; eligible students are considered on the recommendation of the admitting department. Students cannot apply for this scholarship.

The department completes and submits the nomination package to the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research (FGSR) by the nomination deadline. The FGSR reviews the nominations for eligibility and completeness and forwards them to the Graduate Scholarship Committee for adjudication.
