2020 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Young Leaders Initiative: The United Nations is pleased to announce the application for its Sustainable Development Goals Young Leaders Initiative for the 2020 cycle taking place at Geneva, Switzerland. The Young Leaders Initiative is powered by the Office of the UN Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth in collaboration with our partners. The initiative is part of the Global Youth Partnership for Sustainable Development Goals. The Young Leaders Initiative works to support efforts to engage young people in the realization of the SDGs both through strategic opportunities in the United Nations and through their existing initiatives, networks and platforms.

Programme Eligibility and Selection Criteria: To be eligible for the 2020 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Young Leaders Initiative, applicants are to meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must be possess the ability to influence and motivate others, innovative nature and storytelling skills.
- Applicants must have carried out strategic work that is highly impactful with great achievement, influence and integrity.
- Applicants must be willing to advocate for the Sustainable Development Goals in ways most accessible and relatable to young people across different contexts.
- Applicants must possess the ability to promote innovative ways of engaging their audiences and peers in the advocacy and realization of the Goals.
- Applicants must have strong leadership potential.
- Applicants must be able to contribute to a brain trust of young leaders supporting the UN and partners for key moments and initiatives related to the Goals.
